This morning I passed my second Microsoft exam, Windows Based Client Development with a score of 920, which I am quite happy about. This gives me my MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications.
Worth a mention though, is the test centre that I used. Recently, Microsoft chose Thomson Prometric as their sole provider of exams, meaning that I had to switch from Pearson Vue and find myself a new test centre. The most convenient one was New Horizons in Manchester, nicely located just behind Picadilly Gardens. I have to give two thumbs up to the staff, who were very helpful and extremely friendly. Although there were a few problems with the test software (windows opening behind other windows, questions loading slowly and certificates not printing), this was made up for by the excellent testing environment and friendly employees (as well as the big bowl of sweets next to each testing machine). I thoroughly recommend them to anyone within easy reach of Manchester city centre. I guess the only drawback is the Prometric testing software, but that’s something that we now all have to live with.
Finally, I just want to give a wink to anyone who’s played Bioshock on the Xbox 360 and unlocked the Irony achievement (without knowing about it first). It made me smile.
